Suno V6 refinement: what we’re investigating

We’re investigating how The Refiner should adapt to Suno V6. Our first study compares a V5 track with its V6 remaster, looking at recurring audio artifacts and how the stereo signal translates to mono.

The results are mixed. Some recurring spectral peaks are weaker in this V6 remaster, while others are stronger. We also measured greater cancellation when its left and right channels are combined for mono playback, particularly in the bass and lower mids.

These findings come from one remaster pair. They do not establish how V6 behaves across different songs or fresh generations, or whether its sound is better or worse overall.

Our next steps are to test more V6 material, evaluate targeted artifact cleanup, and compare stereo and mono results at matched listening levels. The aim is to address problems while preserving musical detail and the intended mix.

V6-specific refinement is currently in research. We’ll share validated progress here as the work develops.

Choose stereo resynthesis

Humanizer now has a clearly labeled Stereo resynthesis switch. This treatment can widen the stereo image, so it starts off for new selections and album profiles. Enable it when you want that effect. AI cleanup and spectral repair work as before, and Finalize still runs last when selected.

A corrected finishing chain and more control

  • Finalize now follows Humanizer. Mastering runs last when selected, so its output protection and loudness measurements apply to the delivered audio. This also applies after a Rebalance mix. Earlier results are unchanged.
  • Rebalance is your choice each time. It starts off for every new submission. Turn it on when you want to adjust stem levels or add vocal reverb.
  • Delete a finished result and its files. A confirmation lets you remove a result, its uploaded audio, processed versions and related stem splits. Separate reruns keep their own files.
  • Return to the right track. Closing setup or the Rebalance mixer brings the relevant job back into view on the page.
  • Hear the updated results. The examples now include the corrected full chain and a Rebalance version with vocal plate reverb, with clear processing details.
